Gaming halls are different than online casinos. Most of the time you can only play online dice slots and dice games over here. The Belgian gambling law for online gaming halls is quite strict. Only a few of them receive a so-called B+ permit. Why is this?
Maximum number of permits
According to the Belgian Gambling Law, the maximum amount of gaming halls is 180. Currently there are 179 permits. Among the operators with a permit are the following:
Name of the operator Website
- Golden Palace Waterloo SA www.goldenpalace.be
- Circus Belgium SA www.circus.be
- Slots Bvba www.magicdice.be
- Olympian Games NV www.onlinegames.be
- Ascot NV www.bingoal.be
- Ramses BVBA www.starcasino.be
- Noordzee Electronics BV www.goldenvegas.be
- Europa Technics & Cie NV www.napoleongames.be
Bonuses of online gaming halls
Of course the list of operators above isn’t complete. You can see the entire list over here. Every gaming hall with a B+ permit, also known as a Class II permit, is also allowed to operate an online gaming hall. However, the Belgian government wants to decrease the maximum number of permits to 150 this year. Some online gaming halls have very nice bonuses, which are sometimes even better than in online casinos.
Why are there less online gaming halls in Belgium?
The number of online gaming halls is already lower than land-based gaming halls. This is because of the fact that most gaming halls in Belgium are being operated by well-known chains such as Magic Dice, Golden Palace, Circus Group and Napoleon Halls. They usually have more than one gaming hall, but just one online gaming hall with a B+ permit. The decision of the Belgian government will make online gaming halls in the country even more scarce.
