The Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa) and its Belgian colleague, the Kansspelcommissie, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The Ksa previously concluded cooperation agreements with regulators in Malta, France and Sweden.
The Memorandum of Understanding, and the accompanying protocol, will enable the Ksa and the Kansspelcommissie to better support each other in their supervisory tasks. This includes exchanging general information, for example on best practices. More specific information can also be exchanged, for example in the context of enforcement and licensing. The document mentions common goals, such as the fight against crime, player protection and the prevention of gambling addiction.
KSA and Gaming Commission happy with cooperation
René Jansen, chairman of the board of the Ksa, is pleased with the agreement between the Ksa and the Dutch Gambling Commission. Jansen: “A Memorandum of Understanding like this forms a good basis for sharing knowledge, cooperation and a smooth exchange of information. It also sends a clear signal to gambling providers that they are joining forces internationally. Magali Clavie: ‘Online games of chance are offered across borders.
