Holland Casino will stop offering live poker in its branches in Nijmegen, Eindhoven and Scheveningen. When poker activities will resume in the other eight branches, according to a spokesperson, depends on the relaxation measures that will be implemented in the coming period.
The last legal poker cards were dealt over fifteen months ago during the World Poker Tour in Amsterdam. The 15 establishments of Holland casino did open for a while after the initial lockdown, but because they were running on a limited capacity at the time, the blackjack and roulette tables were given preference, leaving the poker offerings idle. This was and still is an unpleasant situation for poker lovers, but Holland Casino makes more money with the other live games, so it is not surprising that poker is always the first game to be looked at when cuts have to be made.
