Cash games in houses
Police recently received information that so-called cash games were being organised at a Vincent van Goghland residence several times a week in the evening. This is a variant of poker where the chips are not worth points, but are worth money. According to gambling laws, profits from playing poker in the Netherlands are only allowed in Dutch casinos.
Police raided the premises last night, Monday 27 February 2023, at 00:20. There were 11 people present. There is a poker table with cards of different denominations and chips. It is clear from the way things are arranged that a game is being played the moment one enters. Residents and alleged organisers were arrested. 4,000 yuan in cash was seized.
