The Dutch Gambling Authority has reissued most of the monopoly licences in the Netherlands. The monopoly licence for the State Lottery has been changed. The State Lottery's licence has been amended with effect from 1 January 2022. This licence has been brought into line with the other monopoly licences. The State Lottery licence has no expiry date. Therefore, it is an amendment and not a new licence. Furthermore, the Ksa also granted new licences for the existing multi-year lotteries like the postcode lottery and friendslottery.
5 year license Dutch lottery
The licences for offering the instant lottery (scratch cards), lotto and sports betting expired and have been granted for another 5 years. The new licences will take effect on 1 January 2022 and have been updated in relation to the current ones. This mainly concerns more concrete regulations for consumer protection and efficient supervision. These monopoly licences (licences of which the Gaming Act states that only one may be granted) are operated by the Dutch Lottery.
