The footballclub AS Roma has made a deal with the online gambling company Betway. The online bookmaker, one of the most influential in the gambling market, will become the Exclusive Training Kit Partner of Roma until the 2020-2021 season. What will the new partnership mean for Betway?
Why the new casino partnership?
Roma has decided to work together with Betway for a reason. Since 2006 it has been a very successful global online gambling company. It provides entertainment to all kinds of players and in the past 12 years several brands were established, including Betway Casino, Betway Vegas, Betway Bingo, Betway Poker and Betway Sportsbook. The gambling company also has licenses across the globe that provide access to the online market of the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Spain, Malta, Belgium and Ireland.

Roma and Betway are now global partners. AS Roma is excited about the partnership. “We’re delighted to announce Betway as a Main Global Partner and look forward to seeing their name on our training kits this season”, said Kaitlyn Colligan, the Director of Global Business Development and Commercial Operations at the Italian football club. Colligan called Betway a ‘young and ambitious brand with global aspirations’. The CEO of Betway, Anthony Werkman, has given a positive reaction to the partnership as well: “We’re very excited to be partnering with a great club like AS Roma, in what is our first partnership in Italian football. Roma have a huge fan base and we hope this three-year-deal will give us some great exposure over the course of the next few seasons.”
Betway on AS Roma shirts
The results of the new partnership will immediately be seen, since the Betway name will be featured on the training kit of the Giallorossi’s. The players of AS Roma started training in the new shirts with the Betway logo in the summer, so that they’re used to it during the new 2018-2019 season. There’s also going to be in-stadium LED’s and a training ground signage. At the same time the digital team of Roma will increase the brand awareness internationally. They’ve won awards in the past, so that’s definitely good news for Betway.
