Perhaps you’ve heard of Toto. It’s a well-known game of the Dutch Lottery. Since January 12, 2018 it can proudly call itself the name sponsor of the KNVB Cup. Toto and the KNVB, the national football federation in the Netherlands, have a good relationship. Toto already has been the main sponsor of the KNVB Cup since 2009.
A special date for a new partnership for the Toto
January 12, 2018 was a special day for Toto and the KNVB. From now on they’re working together even more. This is why both parties choose the head quarter of the KNVB in Zeist to announce the new partnership. They choose this date for a reason, because it was exactly 100 days before the 100th final of the very prestigious KNVB Cup. There is even more great news about the final: this year the teams will not play for a silver cup, which is normally the case, but a golden one.

The commercial director has officially reacted to the new partnership between the Dutch Lottery and the KNVB. Jean-Paul Decossaux, responsible for the commercial part of the KNVB, says that Toto has been a very valuable partner since it became the main sponsor in 2009. The name giving is a logical next step for the Dutch Lottery and the KNVB. Besides that, Decossaux tells that the Dutch Lottery is a great organization to work with because they invest a lot in sports and football.

The Dutch Lottery is just as content with the news. He states that Toto and football have been intertwined with each other for many decades. What’s more, the KNVB invented Toto in 1957. Besides that, Toto is a big fan of Dutch football, like millions of Dutch people. And what’s even better is the fact that the excitement of the KNVB Cup really fits with Toto. A lottery is just as exciting as a great football match!
