Party in Valkenswaard: Lotto player wins 2.9 million euros
A Dutch player had a great start of 2019. In January he won the first Lotto Jackpot of 2.9 million euros! The winning ticket was bought in an Albert Heijn supermarket and contained the numbers 2,8,12,16, 29 and 31.
Identity not known
The identity of the lucky winner is not known, because the Lotto will not publish his or her name. Privacy is the most important reason for that. It’s plausible that the new millionaire lives in the city of Valkenswaard, since the ticket was bought there.
There can be multiple reasons why a winner likes to keep his privacy. Some players simply don’t want to share their fortune with the rest of the world. A large amount of money can also attract the wrong kind of people. Lotto always puts the interests of its winners first, it told the press.More Jackpot hits?
More Lotto Jackpot hits might be coming. It fell six times in 2018, so that gives hope! The last hit was quite recently actually, on December 29th, 2018. Back then a lucky Lotto player from Amsterdam won 4.1 million euros.
